Women Smoking and Protesting

(Original Caption) Alderman smoked out by protesting women of Chicago. Alderman Lyle of Chicago recently introduced an ordinance prohibiting women of Chicago from smoking in public. Quite a number of Chicago women invaded the Aldermanic Council Chambers and presto, first thing Alderman Lyle knew he was enveloped in a halo of smoke right in the aldermanic room which almost suffocated him. The women just voiced their protest and that was all there was to it. The photo shows them doing the protesting.
