A Rodeo Drive sign is seen 20 October 20

Beverly Hills, UNITED STATES: A Rodeo Drive sign is seen 20 October 2006 in Beverly Hills, California. The Los Angeles Times reported that a large block of Rodeo Drive, a byword for luxury boutiques and shops frequented by Hollywood's rich and fabulous, could be permanently closed to traffic. A plan backed by Beverly Hills vice-mayor Jimmy Delshad wants the city to study the feasibility of banning the regular stream of shoppers' Mercedes Benzes, Ferraris, Rolls-Royces, Porsches and lesser vehicles from using the road, the Times said. Delshad said he planned to compare pedestrian zones in cities "with high-class areas" such as Paris and Cannes before proceeding.
