UKRAINE-RUSSIA-CRISIS-ANNIVERSARY

A combination of pictures created on April 6, 2015, shows two pictures made in Donetsk, the first (top) taken on April 6, 2015, shows the regional state building in the eastern Ukrainian city of Donetsk, the second (bottom) taken on April 21, 2014, shows young a pro-Russian activist walking along a barricade outside the same building seized by separatists. On April 6, 2014, Pro-Russian protesters took over official buildings -- local government offices and headquarters of the Ukrainian security service (SBU) in numerous eastern Ukraine cities seeking to break away from Kiev, declaring their autonomy from Ukraine in the wake of the ouster of Kremlin-backed leader Viktor Yanukovych. Russia has been accused by Kiev of trying to "dismember" the country by plotting seizures of government buildings in eastern regions, leading to marathon of talks by western European countries aimed at ending violence in Ukraine.
