They have received food aid and tarpaulin sheets the organisation Mehsi, a local partner of the charity Action Aid. This is one of many communities in Bihar province devastated by the worst floods in living memory, which have submerged thousands of villages. At least 515 people have perished and more than 16 million people in 7,972 villages have been affected.
