Stanford University released a study that shows healthy play time with a trained coach can lead to positive results for both students and teachers. Students engage in typical playground fun, but with the help of a trained recess coach from Playworks to guide them at Cesar Chavez Elementary School in Norwalk. Playworks has trained, fulltime adults, known as "coaches," that engaging children at recess.
