A nuclear engineer places his radiation detection badge on shelf that holds all other badges. These badges are worn when entering the Kalpakkam nuclear complex to monitor exposure to radiation. Recently reports have surfaced about an incident at the Plant which took place on January 21, 2003, calling the incident the "the worst accident in radiation exposure in the history of nuclear India."
