The wreck of HMS Invincible, Jutland, 31st May, 1916. This photograph was taken from HMS Benbow about half an hour after the destruction of the ship. The bows and stern are clear above the water, the midship portion of the ship being on the bottom of the sea. The Torpedo Boat Destroyer Badger is approaching to pick up the 6 surviviors, 4 of which are on a target raft between the Badger and the bows of the wreck.
