The weather was a bit miserable today, very cloudy and not too warm. I headed out to Lantau early and found myself waiting for the first cable car from Tung Chung at 0900. That was just as well as the crowds got pretty big later and apparently it was almost a one hour wait for the ride up to Ngong Ping later in the day. Once up there I spent time around the Big Buddha - all 34 metres of him - Wisdom Path and Tai O fishing village, which was a bit of a cultural change from Hong Kong city life.
