Bio: The Lambeth Community Youth Steel Orchestra was formed in April 1979 from various schools in Lambeth, London and developed into the orchestra it is today. The band has played all over England, in the Royal Albert Hall, the Barbican and the Festival Hall. They also toured France and Italy. It is the aim of the band to promote steeldrum music and most of all, to get young people interested in learning to play the steeldrums.
