Animal inspectors from the Ministry of Agriculture

GREAT DODDINGTON, UNITED KINGDOM: Animal inspectors from the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Fisheries, take blood samples from sheep on Tom Griffith's farm in Great Doddington, near Northampton, 23 April 2001. Griffith's sheep are being blood tested to look for the foot-and-mouth virus, after another of his farms was hit by the animal virus, resulting in a cull two months ago. The blood tests results should be conclusive within 10 days, allowing restrictions on the movement of animals to be possibly lifted.
