Delhi-NCR Scorches As Temperature Hits All Time High
NEW DELHI, INDIA - MAY 29: A boy sprays water to get some relief from heat wave on a hot summer afternoon on May 29, 2024 in New Delhi, India. Delhi-NCR recorded an all-time high temperature of 52.9 degrees Celsius (127.22 Fahrenheit) on Wednesday as extreme heat conditions gripped the north and western parts of India, causing students to faint in schools and drinking water taps to dry up. With soaring temperature Delhi is facing a huge water crisis due to low levels of water in the river Yamuna. Due to a lack of water supply from Haryana, the water treatment plants in Delhi are currently running at a fraction of their peak capability. (Photo by Sonu Mehta/Hindustan Times via Getty Images)
