Eric Staller Displaying his "Lightmobile"

(Original Caption) Coral Gables, Florida: Artist Eric Staller is a former architect and photographer whose fascination with light and movement led him to sculpture, and most recently to create his "Lightmobile", a 1967 Volkswagen Beetle covered with 1,659 computerized three-watt light bulbs. The lights flash in 23 flowing patterns, powered by a generator in the back seat, while driving down the street. Staller, 40, of New York City, calls his $20,000 art work, "my own unidentified flying object." The "Lightmobile" is part of an exhibit at the Virginia Miller Galleries this month called "Light Sources".
