The Royal Guard, in its constant effort to recover and maintain the greatest number of traditions of the Royal Household Troops, has been performing, since November 23, 1994, the Solemn Relay of the Guard at the Royal Palace in Madrid. It takes place once a month and recalls the one that took place daily in the times of Kings Alfonso XII and Alfonso XIII.
