(Original Caption) Francis Cardinal Spellman is shown as he awarded Mrs. Joseph P. Kennedy, a papal countess and wife of the former U.S. ambassador to Great Britain, the catholic youth organization club of champions award. Mrs. Kennedy, the first woman to receive the Gold Medal Award, was honored for her record of "Outstanding accomplishment in the field of youth Work." Presentation was made at the 18th annual dinner-meeting of the board of directors of the CYO at the Park Lane Hotel tonight.
