Wedding Festival Galichnik
Galichnik, Macedonia-- The two grooms carry small bottles of homemade local brandy called rakia during the weekend-long wedding celebrations in the Macedonian village of Galichnik. The festival is a chance for the decedents of villagers to reenact folk wedding traditions in this depopulated region. Currently the village has only two year-round residents, although it is a popular summer vacation spot.
