Martin, in his rookie year on the PGA tour, will be the first player to ride a cart in competition in the first round of the Bob Hope Chrysler Classic which begins 19 January, 2000. Martin, who suffers from a leg ailment that causes problems with circulation, won the right in court to use a cart. The decision is being appealed by the PGA.
