Haiti pill distribution
JACMEL, HAITI - MAY 24: Haitian girls at the Evelina Levy Public School for Girls in Jacmel line up to take pills to combat intestinal worms and the virus that causes lymphatic filariasis during a mass drug administration sponsored by the Haitian public health ministry (MSPP Ministere Sante Publique et Population). The drive to combat these lingering illnesses in the population are done twice yearly for kids and at different periods of the year. The girls are given the pills and made to show they chewed them up and swallowed them, and then given water to wash the pills down. Girls wait in line, some with doubtful looks on their faces.
