MIDEAST-1967 ARAB-ISRAELI WAR
Israeli soldiers inspect destructions in a street of Jerusalem in June 1967 during the 1967 Arab-Israeli war. On 05 June 1967, Israel launched preemptive attacks against Egypt and Syria. In just six days, Israel occupied the Gaza Strip and the Sinai peninsula of Egypt, the Golan Heights of Syria, and the West Bank and Arab sector of East Jerusalem (both under Jordanian rule), thereby giving the conflict the name of the Six-Day War.
