John D. Rockefeller's Five Sons at Memorial Service
(Original Caption) June 8, 1960 - New York: About 1,500 persons, including his five sons, attended the memorial service for John D. Rockefeller Jr. in Riverside Church. Two chartered buses brought employees from the family estate at Pocantico Hills in Westchester. Scores of business associates of the late Mr. Rockefeller, who died in Tucson, Arizona on May 11, 1960, among them many who were active in the development of his widespread philanthropies, and figures in public life were present. The five sons gather here before the service are (left to right) John D. III, Nelson A., Laurance S., Winthrop, and David.
