Libyan security forces stand guard outside the Swiss embassy in Tripoli during a protest on March 1, 2010 in support of Libyan leader Moamer Kadhafi's (portraits) call last month for a jihad, or holy war, against Switzerland and Muslim economic boycott of the country over a recent Swiss ban on the construction of minarets. Kadhafi's call marked a new low in Libyan-Swiss relations, which soured in July 2008 when his son Hannibal and his wife were arrested and briefly held in Geneva after two domestic workers complained they had mistreated them.
