To keep a personal appearance engagement at the World's fair with his master, Lee Duncan, Rin Tin Tin boarded a Western Air Express United Air Lines mid-continent plane at Los Angeles and flew away to Chicago. In order to secure a seat reservation the intelligent fellow had to step up to a United Airport traffic window and purchase a ticket just like any other passenger.
