(Original Caption) 2/6/1958-New York, NY- Opera star Maria Meneghini Callas, her husband Giovanni Battista Meneghini (C), and Rudolph Bing are shown in Callas' dressing room after her performance as Violetta in Verdi's "La Traviata" at the Metropolitan Opera. Miss Callas held a jammed house spellbound by her perfomance, and was called back for 10 curtain ovations. The show was marked by none of the tempermental outbursts that have become the Prima Donna's trademark.
