Paul Strasser, background center, chef at the Wesley Community in Saratoga Springs, and a volunteer teaches other volunteers how to cut apart a cooked turkey in the State kitchens at the Empire State Plaza as volunteers began preparing the food that will feed roughly 10,000 area people on Thanksgiving through the Equinox program. This is the 45th year for the Annual Thanksgiving Day Community Dinner. 9,500 meals will be delivered on Thanksgiving by 800 volunteer drivers and 500 meals will be severed at the sit down meal. Areas farms, Bulich Farms, Staron Farms and Denison Farms donated fresh vegetables and CDPHP donated funds as a corporate sponsor. Price Chopper donated over 12,000 pounds of turkey and Hannaford Supermarkets donated 1,200 pies.
