Schools In Nairobi Re-open After Serious Flooding

NAIROBI, KENYA - MAY 13: Pupils are headed back to school after schools re-open on May 13, 2024 in Nairobi, Kenya. All schools in Kenya re-opened today as announced by President William Ruto. He said the decision has been made in consultation with the Meteorological Department which confirmed that the rains will subside in the coming few days. Schools were set to reopen on April 29, 2024, but the Ministry of Education postponed this following massive flooding across the country. The President also said the government will release funds to the National Government Constituency Development Fund to rehabilitate schools damaged by the floods.
