Crumpley, the son of a Harlem minister and a former Transit police officer, was charged with killing two men and wounding six others in a wild shooting spree of homosexual hangouts in Greenwich Village. After he was captured, Crumpley, who is wanted on bank robbery charges in Virginia, reportedly told police that homosexuals "ruin everything."
