In the recently published book, the author describes Mrs. Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy as "having had more and lost more than most women who ever lived." In the biography, Mrs. Kennedy was quoted as saying: "I just made up my mind that I wasn't going to be daunted by anything. If I collapsed, then it would have a very bad effect on the other members of the family, naturally...and I think I owe them a certain calmness and encouragement..."
