First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt Wearing a Wool Dress
The First Lady will wear a vermilion wool dress on the morning of her husband's third inauguration on January 20, 1941. With the wool creation, Eleanor Roosevelt wears a hat of the same material, topped off with a pair of birds made from a new material resembling feathers. She is shown in the dress at Arnold Constable's New York store, for final fittings of it and two other gowns she will wear during the day's ceremonies.
