DE BINNENROTTE, BLAAK, ROTTERDAM, NETHERLANDS - 2023/12/20: 'They have names. They had dreams.' Large poster naming some of those killed by Israel, during its 10-week siege on Gaza. More than 8000 pairs of children's shoes were laid out in neat rows on the De Binnenrotte, a square in Rotterdam. The shoes were a symbolic gesture of the murdered children of Palestine and killed by indiscriminate bombing from land, sea and air by the (IDF) Israel Defence Forces. Since the 7 October, the death toll has exceeded 20,000 and at least 40,000 injured, with 7,000 to 8,000 bodies remain buried beneath the rubble, they are mostly women and children.
