Drawing of a Solar Mirror
(Original Caption) This huge solar mirror, orbiting in space, will some day focus the sun's rays in a shaft so powerful that is will break through storm clouds to warm a city or an orchard or dissipate the storm itself. This striking artist's conception of what the floating sun mirror will look like illustrates one of the points made by Lloyd Mallan in his Bluebook magazine article, "ESV (Earth Satellite Vehicle) Will Make Your Life Better." Man will at last be able to do something about the weather and a great many other things when this satellite and others like it get into position is space.
