Don Ahern
(Original Caption) Two camera studies of Don Ahern, close friend of Dr. Samuel Sheppard, who took the stand today as the state's second witness in the murder trial of Dr. Sheppard, accused of the July 4 slaying of his wife, Marilyn. Ahern and his wife were dinner guests of the Sheppards on the night of the murder. They left the Sheppard home at 12:30 AM July 4 and were two of the last persons to see Mrs. Sheppard alive. Ahern described Dr. Sheppard as a "good, decent fellow." He was questioned at length about the condition of the beach and water on that fateful night. The state is making this an important point.
