BRITAIN-TRADITION-FAIR
Visitors attend the 'Hull Fair', one of Europe's largest annual travelling fairs, in Hull, north east England on October 9, 2017.
Showmen and women have brought their rides and stalls to the city for more than 700 years, first appearing in 1278. One of the attractions of the fair is the arrival of the famous local fish and chip stall, Bob Carver's, which sells the local delicacy 'pattie and chips', a deep fried potato and sage cake served with chips and mushy peas. / AFP PHOTO / Paul ELLIS (Photo credit should read PAUL ELLIS/AFP via Getty Images)
