(Original Caption) World War II veteran Charles R. Topp lays a wreath at the base of the new monument of Ford Island in Pearl Harbor commemorating the 14th anniversary of the Japanese sneak attack, while Rear Adm. C.E. Olson (left) looks on. The memorial, a 200 pound bronze plaque, was unveiled shortly before. It pictures a woman holding a ship and a palm leaf above the inscription. The plaque was purchased by the Navy club.
