LONDON, ENGLAND - SEPTEMBER 26, 2017: A young woman poses for a photograph in front of street art created in September 2017 near the Barbican Centre in London, England, by Banksy, an anonymous England-based graffiti artist and political activist. In an Instagram post, the elusive Banksy said the work was a reference the late artist Jean-Michel Basquiat. 'Major new Basquiat opens at the Barbican - a place that is normally very keen to clean any graffiti from its walls', Banksy stated on Instagram. The Banksy wall painting includes a character representing Basquiat being searched by police. The painting is a 'portrait of Basquiat being welcomed by the Metropolitan Police,' said Banksy. Within days after it was painted on the wall, the Barbican installed large pieces of plexiglass over the painting to protect it from vandalism or other street artists.
