The Jongo, also known cojumo Caxambu and Corimá, is a Brazilian dance of African origin that is practiced to the sound of drums, like the Caxambu. It is essentially rural. It is part of Afro-Brazilian culture. He influenced powerfully the formation of samba in Rio, in particular, and Brazilian popular culture as a whole.
