The Speech from the Throne sets out the main features of government policy for the coming parliamentary session. The Golden Carriage is used every year to carry the Dutch monarch from Noordeinde Palace to the Knights' Hall in order to deliver the Speech from the Throne. Due to restoration works the comming years the Golden Carriage will be replaced by the Glass Coach.
