The Cap Blanc Nez is a famous ensemble of cliffs (up to 151 m high), the northernmost of France, made of chalk and marl and located at around 10 km of Calais. The picture shows the panorama at the summit of the Cap Blanc Nez, with a view on the white sand beach at the foot of the cliffs, the English Channel, the village of Wissant and, in the background, the Cap Gris Nez, another famous cliff (45 m high). The cliffs, including the Cap Gris Nez, are protected as part of the Parc Naturel Régional des Caps et Marais d'Opale and labelled Grand Site de France.
