Quokka joey was curious around its surroundings while mother was sleeping.
The quokka (Setonix brachyurus) is a small macropod and is a herbivore and mainly nocturnal. The majority of the quokkas lives on Rottnest Island, off the coast of Western Australia. There is a very small population living in the south-west of Western Australia.
