Qinghai Province, Haixi Mongol and Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Dachaidan Administrative District, Dachaidan Town, Dachaidan Emerald Lake is a magnesium sulfate subtype salt lake. Due to its high salinity, the lake remains unfrozen all year round. The lake contains varying concentrations of elements such as potassium, magnesium, and lithium, which give it a range of colors. The Emerald Lake is crystal clear, allowing one to distinctly see the salt layers at the bottom through the water's surface. In August 2023, the Dachaidan Emerald Lake Scenic Area was designated as a National AAAA-level Tourist Attraction.
