Congressman Himes says Portland protest video of Navy veteran hurt American soul

Connecticut Congress Jim Himes says during morning hour debate on the House floor that he did not care how much one have become cynical about the country nor whether had signed over their time, talent, treasure and integrity to support Donald Trump but during Portland protests and use of federal forces there, if one had a drop of American blood in their veins their soul would die a little bit in watching an armed federal agent be a Navy veteran asking if bodies are piling up in the streets of Portland or 150,000 dead there, not a fatality but like other cities and Portland had boiled over in rage at the murder of George Floyd at the hands of Minneapolis police and regrettably and illegally and minority protesters had committed vandalism, broken windows and threats that were not ever okay but protecting property in Portland or anywhere else was the job of the local police department and state police, and in a worst case scenario National Guard.
