Wadworths Brewery Use Traditional Methods For Beer Production
DEVIZES, ENGLAND - MAY 19: Head horseman Barry Petherick (R) and horseman Martin Whittle (L) pass in front of the Wadworths Brewery building as they deliver beer to local pubs using Shire Horses Max and Monty on May 19, 2010 in Devizes, England. Re-introduced in 1974, the Wadworth brewery currently has four horses who deliver to public houses situated within two miles of the Brewery. They work as two pair drays, each dray carrying a load of approximately three tons, and deliver every weekday morning in the town - weather permitting. The Wiltshire-based family-run brewery - which was established in 1875 and is well known for their beers, including 6X, throughout the south of England - still employ many traditional trade people such as horsemen, coopers and sign writers.
