Stranded Whale Art Installation in Zurich
ZURICH, SWITZERLAND - 2024/08/19: An actor in a forensic coat seen watering a life-like replica of a stranded whale As part of an artistic performance by the Belgian collective Captain Boomer, a life-like replica of a stranded whale suddenly appeared on the shore of Lake Zurich at the Utoquai Lido, the lake's main promenade. This striking installation aims to raise awareness about climate change. The artists will perform for three days, telling the whale's story, "caring" for the animal by watering it, and using forensic costumes, tools, and the smell of rotten fish to enhance the realism.
