FRANCE-POLICE
Former French policeman Jean-Louis Fiamenghi poses for a photograph on February 17, 2016 in Paris.
Fiamenghi was one of four police officers who shot and killed French gangster Jacques Mesrine in his car, at porte de Clignancourt, northern Paris, on november 2, 1979. Jean-Louis Fiamenghi wrote in his book "In the heart of action", that a 9mm bullet, which he claims could only have been fired from his weapon, struck Mesrine in the head, thereby claiming himself to be the killer of France's most wanted man of the 1970's.
