Indonesia's world biggest instant noodles producer held talks with Taiwanese authorities in an effort to lift ban on its Indomie brand which contains preservative exceeding an amount allowed in Taiwan, its director said on October 12. Indofood Sukses Makmur director Fransiscus Welirang questioned the Taipei County Public Health Bureau who instructed shops to remove the brand from shelves over the weekend after tests showed they contained methyl paraben and benzoic acid which are banned in the country.
