Eleven years in the making, the first section of the BACC finally swung open its doors in July 2008 , with an official opening in Febuary 2009. Smack bang in the heart of Siam Square, the 7,600 square meter non-for-profit space designed by Robert Boughey hopes to become Thailands art junction, offering this increasingly modern city a traditional way of learning - through art, theatre, discussions and books.
