The builders of skyscraper have scrapped plans for a round hole through its upper floors and replaced it by a four-sided slot, after Chinese complaints that it looked like Japan's "rising sun" flag. According to the blueprint of the 101-story project, the Shanghai World Financial Center will stand at a height of 492 meters (about 1614 feet), topping the current record holder Malaysia's 1,483-foot Petronas Twin Towers.
