Indian in space. India Gets Ready to launch Astronauts through the Gaganyaan program Crew Module unveiled

BENGALURU, INDIA - JANUARY 24: on January 24,2020 in Bengaluru,India .India is gearing it’s space program up to launch an Indian astronaut on home soil in a domestic made rocket by 2022. The $ 1.5 billion mission is named Gaganyaan which is the Indian human space program. On January 22, 2019, The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) unveiled a full size model of the proposed crew module and a scaled down version of the crew module. The 3.7 tonne Indian made crew module is being equipped to ferry up to three astronauts for up to seven days in space in a low earth orbit. The launch will take place from Indian space port Sriharikota, this is a flagship program of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
