San Juan de Sabinas, MEXICO: A relative to one of the 65 miners trapped in the Pasta de Conchos mine in San Juan de Sabinas, Coahuila state, Mexico, lights candels 25 February, 2006 in an altar at the entrance of the company. Rescuers temporarily halted their search for 65 men trapped for five days deep inside a Mexican coal mine, officials said late Friday, citing safety concerns. The miners were trapped 150 meters (500 feet) below ground on Sunday when an apparent gas explosion caused a cave-in in a two-kilometer (1.2-mile)-long tunnel inside the mine. For more than five days rescuers have been digging with shovels, picks and bare hands to find the miners. There has been no contact with the trapped workers since the explosion.
