UK - Patriotism - Turkish barbers decked in England flags
A Turkish-run barber shop in central London, which has been festooned with strings of England flags and red and white balloons, is busy shortly before the kick-off of England's final World Cup game against Portugal. This flag, displaying the Cross of St George, used to be associated with racist and right-wing groups but it is now becoming increasingly popular. As the English football team plays in the football World Cup the flag is being displayed all over England on pubs, houses, buildings, shops and cars. The Turkish barbers working here are all wearing England shirts and support England, unless the team is playing against Turkey. (Photo by Gideon Mendel/Corbis via Getty Images)
