Senator Harris calls challenge to antilynching bill ridiculous amid George Floyd protests

California Senator Kamala Harris says in objecting to a consent request by Kentucky Republican Rand Paul to amend the Emmett Till Antilynching Act that the idea of not taking the issue of lynching seriously was an insult to Senators past and present who understood it a great stain in America's history and to suggest anything short of pulverizing someone so much that the casket would be otherwise closed except for the heroism encourage of his mother or that a lynching was only a lynching if someone's heart was pulled out and produced and displayed to someone else was ridiculous on the day of the funeral that should be national mourning for late Minneapolis resident George Floyd killed in police custody.
