The liberation of the Kyiv region from the Russian military in April 2022 changed the course of the war. To swiftly occupy the area, Moscow tried to gain control of the sky, but Ukrainian air defense forces thwarted the Kremlin’s plans. The exhibition “Target Destroyed: Kyiv Region Sky”, dedicated to the day of liberation of the Kyiv region from Russian troops in April 2022, shows fragments of Russian aerial weapons with photos above them of the Ukrainian air defense that brought down this weapon. The exhibition takes place on the territory of the National Museum of the History of Ukraine in the Second World War. (Footage by My-Ukraina/Global Images Ukraine via Getty Images)
